This modern cosmetic dental procedure uses a similar material to that used for white fillings. First we colour-match this to your teeth and then apply it directly to the front of the tooth as required. We can shape it before it is cured with UV light, which causes it to set hard. We can then refine the shape and polish it to perfection. The result is a mini smile makeover that requires just one visit with no downtime. It’s an ideal choice for addressing small issues that are creating visual disharmony, such as discolouration, misaligned teeth, small gaps, chips, cracks and short, peg-like teeth. It’s also great for hiding thinning enamel while also protecting the tooth.

When resin is applied to a single tooth, we would refer to this as composite bonding. We can also address multiple teeth at once, which would be known as composite veneers. This allows us to replicate the results of porcelain veneers, but for a much lower cost. Composite veneers can be achieved by shaping each tooth individually, or we can create a mould that fits over your existing teeth and then inject the resin before curing it with UV light. This is a highly effective way to achieve a full smile makeover without the need for extensive preparation of the tooth structure. Like composite bonding, composite veneers will last for around 5 years.
