Once shaped, the resin is cured with UV light, and once it is fully hardened, we can refine the restoration and carry out one final polish. When we apply resin to a single tooth, this is known as composite bonding. It’s also possible to replicate the look of veneers by applying resin to multiple teeth. Composite veneers offer a cost-effective and short-term alternative to porcelain veneers. We can either shape each tooth individually, or use an injection mould system that fits over your teeth and allows us to add a thin layer of composite resin to your teeth to change the colour, alignment, shape and visual balance. Like composite bonding, composite veneers will usually last for around 5 years before the material starts to wear down.
