This innovative cosmetic treatment plan uses the same white resin material that we use for cosmetic fillings, but this is applied to the front of the teeth to replicate the effects of veneers. This is a highly cost-effective treatment for addressing minor imperfections, including chips, cracks, small gaps, uneven edges, discolouration, thinning enamel and even misaligned teeth. The material is applied directly to the front of the tooth and then shaped as required. We then use UV light to cure the resin, and then we can polish and refine the shape. This offers a similar outcome to treatments such as crowns or veneers, but without the need to wait for impressions and for the porcelain restorations. Composite bonding is completed in just one visit with no downtime, so you can go about your day with a confident new smile.

You may come across a treatment called composite veneers during your research. This is a very different treatment plan that allows for a more extensive restoration. With composite bonding, we typically address individual teeth, and might only apply resin to one or two teeth. With composite veneers, we’ll create a mould of your perfect smile that fits over your existing teeth. Resin is injected into the mould and then hardened with UV light. When we remove the mould, your dazzling new smile is ready. This is a cost-effective alternative to treatments such as veneers, but it’s important to note that composite veneers will last for around 5 years, while porcelain veneers can last for around 12-15 years.
