Meet the team
Macauly Jones
Practice Manager
Macauly joined Damira Dental Studios in 2021 as a Dental Receptionist at our sister practice, Damira West Street. He came from a retail background and has never worked in healthcare previously. After a year and a half, he was promoted to Deputy Manager in July 2022, and given then offered the position of Practice Manager of the new practice, Quayside in November 2022, ready for opening in April 2023. Macauly makes it his priority to ensure that patients have the best experience visiting the practice and enjoys seeing those who visit regularly throughout their treatment. Whilst not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, his dog, and visiting new places for a peaceful walk.
Almutaz Khair (Taz)
Dentist, GDC No. 276070
Taz is a recent addition to the team at Damira Quayside. Dentistry is his passion, and he is currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma in aesthetic and restorative dentistry. Beyond the clinic, Taz is an enthusiastic traveller, gym-goer and a food lover who takes delight in both creating and relishing exquisite meals. “I can’t wait to bring smiles to your faces!”

Mandla is a highly motivated dentist who is caring, conscientious and has good interpersonal skills, He graduated with a Dental degree from the Medical University of Southern Africa in 2000 and has since developed vast experience which has enabled him to tackle complex restorative, surgical and cosmetic treatments. Mandla is also family man with who follows Formula One, football and cricket.

Shova is our Dental Hygienist who joined the Quayside team in May 2023. Shova originally qualified as a Dentist in Nepal in 2017. It is her top priority to dedicating her Mondays to providing the best possible dental care experience for her patients. She is committed to helping patients, particularly with gum disease for prolonged oral health and hygiene. Outside of the practice, Shova enjoys cooking, traveling, and is a busy mum with her 2-year-old son. Her talent involves speaking English, Nepali and Hindi fluently.

Courtney joined Damira in June 2021 as a Trainee Dental Nurse coming from a hospitality background, she was promoted to Head Dental Nurse in December 2022 of the practice she originally joined, Damira West Street. After relocating to Damira Quayside for her new adventure, she qualified as a Dental Nurse in July 2023, receiving her GDC registration in August 2023. Courtney has a fantastic relationship with her colleagues and patients, always smiling and creating a very relaxing environment for nervous patients. In her free time, Courtney enjoys going to the Gym with her Fiancée and going shopping.
Lauren Draper
Trainee Dental Nurse
Lauren joined Damira Quayside as a Receptionist in April 2023, she since found her love for Dental Nursing and took on the full-time position as a Trainee Dental Nurse. Lauren is a dedicated member of the team and loves to see patients happy after successful treatment. Lauren loves keeping fit and spends a lot of time at the gym and going on long walks.
Olivia Cunliffe
Receptionist
Olivia is one of our lovely receptionists. She joined Damira Quayside upon it’s opening and welcomed new patients to the practice on our first day of opening, so is a friendly regular face you’ll see upon your visit. Olivia is fantastic in the customer service industry and always takes the time to help our patients understand our procedures and the patient journey. Olivia has a passion for Tae Kwon Do, helping at a weekly club and was the South West Champion in 2018.
