  3. We will confirm the video consultation process, and take payment for your consultation over the phone.
  4. You will receive an email with your video meeting details.

WHAT VIDEO TECHNOLOGY DO I NEED?

Desktop, Tablet or Mobile video calling:

You just need to sign up to a free account with an email address.

The online video link works in your browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox & Safari) so no need to download anything.

When you have booked your appointment make sure you check your email for your meeting ID and Passcode.

HOW LONG IS THE APPOINTMENT?

The appointment is 10 minutes.

HOW CAN WE HELP?

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

A 10-minute video appointment costs £30. Additional costs will be charged for additional appointment time requested when booking and prescriptions online.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY CONSULTATION?

We kindly ask our patients to pay the balance of the cost of the consultation before any appointments are made.

You can pay over the phone by debit or credit card.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept American Express.

CAN I BOOK A CONSULTATION TODAY?

Video consultations are subject to availability. We will do our best to offer a consultation at the next available booking.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS MY APPOINTMENT?

Refunds are not available if you are unable to make your consultation.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED MORE THAN 10 MINUTES?

If an additional consultation slot is required, the patient should phone 02380 011287 to make an additional booking.

CAN I ORDER A PRESCRIPTION TO BE SENT TO MY LOCAL PHARMACY OR MY ADDRESS?

Prescriptions are given at the dentists discretion. Prescriptions can be sent directly to the patients address listed on the prescription or for collections from the practice or patients own pharmacy.

 

TROUBLESHOOTING

HOW DO I DOWNLOAD ZOOM VIDEO CONFERENCING?

If you are using zoom video conferencing:

  1. Visit https://zoom.us/
  2. Click ‘Sign up it’s free’ and enter your email address
  3. Go to your inbox and click the link to activate your Zoom account
  4. Enter your details and set a password
  5. You are all set up and ready to go! The dentist will provide you the meeting ID and passcode you will need to start your video consultation. Check your inbox before your scheduled consultation.

At the beginning of the appointment you see a blank screen, while you wait for the dentist to connect.

IT STILL ISN’T WORKING

Please check your internet bandwidth and your 4G connection. You can do this by typing “internet speed test” into Google and following the instructions.

Please also note that this does not work on internet explorer.

Don’t worry, if we’re having technical issues on our side we will offer you a full refund.
