Will crowns or bridges work for me?
Your dentist may recommend a crown to you if you have a chipped, broken or fragile tooth, or if your tooth already has a large filling but appears to require further work. Once your crown is fitted your tooth will be stronger and look more uniform alongside your natural teeth, giving you a straighter, more confident smile.
Your dentist may recommend bridges to fill a gap caused by missing or extracted teeth. They are securely attached to your natural teeth, so when fitted you will have a complete smile that looks entirely natural.
What to expect at my appointment?
You will need two appointments; at the first, an impression will be taken of the tooth that needs a crown.
Your crown will take two weeks to be hand crafted to the shape of your mouth, at which point you will return for your second appointment to have the crown fitted.
If you feel that a bridge would benefit the health and appearance of your smile, you will need to come in for two appointments.
At the first appointment, your dentist will take impressions of your mouth and take a careful record of the colour of your surrounding teeth so that your bridge can be colour-matched and made to look like your natural teeth. At your second appointment your bridge will be fitted.
The most important step you can take to ensure the longevity of your crown is to practice good oral hygiene. Keep your gums and teeth healthy by brushing with fluoride toothpaste twice a day and flossing daily.
See your dentist or hygienist regularly.

Words from our clients
I was very happy with the service I received! I was made to feel very relaxed. Dr Usman explained in detail everything which needed to be done whilst I was holding a mirror and showed me what he was going to do. I was offered the work to be done on my teeth there and then which really pleased me. Highly recommend.
Everyone I saw was compassionate, patient and kind. Having been nervous coming for a check-up and hygienist appointment, there was no judgement and I experienced great care from everyone.
Absolutely brilliant work and the staff are so helpful and friendly they couldn’t do enough for me. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting staff and dentists that want what’s best for you! No pressure into having unnecessary treatment, they want what’s best for you. They all go above and beyond thank you to the team!
“I had an amazing experience today! Honestly. I Went for 2 fillings. Dr. Yap is amazing. He made me feel very comfortable, answered my questions and just reassured me. I didn’t feel any pain and was calm. Although I was extremely nervous. I am so happy! Even if you are the most nervous patient in the world he will make you feel safe!”
“A huge thank you to dentist Ed, nurse Lois and manager extraordinaire Clare, my phobia kept me up the night before treatment and I still can’t believe how easy you all made it. No pain, loads of support and understanding. I highly recommend your outstanding service.”
